Bronson Hosts Memorial Service to Remember Pregnancy and Infant Loss

Bronson Bereavement Services is hosting an annual Holiday Memorial Service sponsored by the Bronson SHARE Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Group on Friday, December 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. The service will be held in the auditorium of the Gilmore Center for Health Education on the Bronson Methodist Hospital campus. This special event is open to anyone grieving due to the loss of a child due miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, SIDS or other perinatal loss.

The event includes a Message of Hope, candle lighting ceremony, music, poetry and more performed by members of the SHARE support group. All attendees are invited to light a candle and hang ornaments in memory of their “angel babies” who have died.

“The event was created to bring people together to honor and remember our ‘angel babies’. Our goal is to bring hope and healing to hurting families during the holiday season,” said Brenda Terburg-Fawley, Bereavement Coordinator. “All are welcomed to join in this celebration. This is an opportunity to light a candle and hang an ornament to remember your child — even if it has been years since the death.” A time of gathering and refreshments will follow the service.
