Bronson Level I Trauma Center Welcomes New Surgeon - Bronson Healthcare

Bronson Trauma Surgery Services welcomes trauma surgeon, James Kraatz, MD, FACS. Dr. Kraatz joins surgeons Paul Blostein, MD, Scott Davidson, MD, Jon Walsh, MD, and Sheldon Maltz, MD, in treating seriously injured patients at the Level I Trauma Center at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Dr. Kraatz is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. He specializes in burn and wound management, trauma surgical critical care, and severe surgical infections.

He completed a burn fellowship at University of Texas Medical Branch/Galveston Shriners, and a surgical critical care fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center. He also completed a Surgical Infection Society Research fellowship at Midwest Medical Research Foundation and a general surgery residency with Hennepin County Medical Center.

He earned his Medical Doctorate from Rush University and was a faculty member at the University of Missouri School of Medicine before joining Bronson. He can be reached at (269) 341-6022.
