Bronson Names New Directors

Bronson Healthcare welcomes new directors, Michael Rowe and Cynthia Baranowski.

Rowe has been named executive director of the Bronson Lifestyle Improvement & Research Center, with management responsibility for the Bronson Athletic Club.

A nine-year Bronson Methodist Hospital employee, Rowe most recently served as director of Food, Nutrition and Retail services with responsibility for the hospital’s food and gift retail outlets, inpatient meals, catering, inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition therapy, and the development of Bronson’s sustainable food program. He retains executive leadership over those areas.

Rowe is also a board director of the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo, a member the Michigan Food Policy Council, and has served on numerous local committees supporting farmers markets, local farmers and access to healthy food in Kalamazoo. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.

Cynthia Baranowski holds the newly created role of membership sales director for the Bronson Athletic Club. She joins Bronson from the Gull Lake Country Club, where she handled membership and marketing.

A former competitive skater and figure skating coach, Baranowski has many years of club experience, serving as a principal coach at the Chelsea Piers sports center in New York City and at a large sports complex in Brooklyn.

Baranowski earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport University, where she is currently working toward an M.B.A. in strategic management.

The Lifestyle Improvement and Research Center (LIRC) is a research-based medical facility that provides therapy and rehabilitation services to physician-referred patients, and classes, screenings, and wellness programs for the general community.
