Bronson Nurses Awarded 2018 Nursing Scholarships
Congratulations to the 2018 Bronson Nursing Scholarship recipients! Out of 40 applicants across the Bronson system, eight registered nurses (RNs) were selected to receive awards on behalf of the Bronson Health Foundation. These scholarships will help cover the costs of continuing their advanced nursing degrees. “I am incredibly proud of these eight outstanding nurses, as well as all those who applied,” says Denise Neely, MBA, BSN, vice president and system chief nursing executive. “Their commitment to furthering their education and finding ways to improve not only patient care but the profession of nursing is another great example of how our nurses are raising the bar to deliver exceptional healthcare experiences to every patient, every time.”
The scholarships are made possible through the Margaret H. Varney Scholarship Endowment. Varney was a graduate of the Bronson School of Nursing and employee of Bronson Methodist Hospital. Thank you to the Bronson employees who supported this scholarship fund through this year’s Little Help Big Difference campaign. Anyone who wishes to contribute to this fund is encouraged to visit bronsonfoundation.com and click on employee giving.
