Bronson Nurses Awarded Nursing Scholarships for 2022 School Year
Congratulations to our newest Bronson Nursing Scholarship recipients! From applicants all across the Bronson system, seven registered nurses (RNs) will receive scholarship funds to help them pursue advanced nursing degrees. The annual scholarship program is made possible through the Bronson Health Foundation’s Margaret H. Varney Scholarship Endowment.
“At Bronson, everything we do is focused on advancing the health of our communities,” explains Marla Atkinson, System Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer at Bronson Methodist Hospital. “Healthcare employees are working in unparalleled times. The need for nurses is greater now than ever before. Ensuring our nurses have the necessary resources to obtain a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree allows them to grow professionally. With advanced degrees, our nurses are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to overcome the new challenges of each day. Our patients, staff, and community all benefit from the advanced degrees that our nurses pursue.”
