Bronson Nurses Awarded Nursing Scholarships for 2025 Academic Year
Bronson Healthcare proudly announces the recipients of its 2025 Nursing Scholarships. These dedicated registered nurses (RNs) were selected from a pool of applicants across the Bronson Healthcare system and will receive scholarship funds to support their pursuit of advanced nursing degrees.
“At Bronson, everything we do is focused on advancing the health of our communities,” explains Marla Atkinson, Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer at Bronson Methodist Hospital. “With the rapidly changing healthcare landscape, supporting our nurses in obtaining advanced degrees not only enhances their professional growth but also enhances the quality of patient care. It makes me proud to see dedicated nurses across the Bronson system commit to continuing their education to better serve their patients and contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession as a whole.”

- Kirstin Smith, BSN, RN, Bronson Children’s Hospital, General Pediatrics Unit
These scholarships are made possible through the Bronson Health Foundation Margaret H. Varney Scholarship Endowment. Margaret H. Varney, a graduate of the Bronson School of Nursing and a former Bronson Methodist Hospital employee, left a lasting legacy through this fund, which continues to support the development of exceptional nursing professionals.
