Bronson Nurses Awarded Nursing Scholarships for 2026 Academic Year

Bronson Healthcare proudly announces the recipients of its 2026 Nursing Scholarships. These registered nurses (RNs) were selected from a pool of applicants across the Bronson Healthcare system and will receive scholarship funds to support their pursuit of advanced nursing degrees.

"With a growing demand for highly skilled nurses, our patients rely on caregivers who are prepared to meet increasingly complex health challenges," explains Tresa Kruis, Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer at Bronson Methodist Hospital. "That’s why supporting our nurses in advancing their education is essential. Not only does it strengthen their professional growth, but it also directly improves patient care and outcomes."

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Scholarship Recipients:

  • Gabrielle Bommerscheim, RN: Bronson Methodist Hospital, Extended Medical Care Unit
  • Stephanie Kohlert, RN: Bronson Commons, Post-Acute Care
  • Megan Munn, RN: Bronson Methodist Hospital, Labor & Delivery
  • Kaylee Nagel, RN: Bronson Methodist Hospital, General Medical Unit
  • Jill VanOrman, RN, EMT-P: Bronson LakeView Hospital, Emergency Department

Master of Science in Nursing Scholarship Recipients:

  • Dylan Arbanas, BSN, RN: Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, General Medical Unit
  • Madison Holcomb, BSN, RN, HNB-BC: Bronson Methodist Hospital, Labor & Delivery
  • Lauren Kurtz, BSN, RN: Bronson Methodist Hospital, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

These scholarships are funded through the Margaret H. Varney Scholarship Endowment, established by Bronson Health Foundation.
