Bronson Nurses Awarded Nursing Scholarships

Nursing Scholarship WinnersCongratulations to Bronson's 2015 Nursing Scholarship recipients! Eight registered nurses (RNs) were selected to receive the awards.  There were 39 applicants from across the Bronson Healthcare system.  “It was tough for the committee to narrow down the list,” says Denise Neely, MBA, BSN, vice president and system chief nursing officer. “It’s impressive how many nurses are committed to continuing their education and improving care for patients and families.”

Five RNs, who are pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, will receive $3000 each. Three RNs, who are pursuing Master of Science in Nursing degrees, will receive $5000 each.

The scholarships are made possible through the Bronson Health Foundation’s Margaret H. Varney Scholarship Endowment. Varney was a graduate of the Bronson School of Nursing and employee of Bronson Methodist Hospital. Thank you to the Bronson employees who supported this scholarship fund through this year’s Little Help Big Difference campaign.
