On Wednesday, November 20, Bronson held a groundbreaking ceremony for Bronson Family Medicine - The Groves, a new practice that will better serve the community by expanding coverage of primary care providers. It is scheduled to open spring 2014.
What makes it so cutting edge? The practice follows Lean strategy tools derived from the Toyota Production System. This means that the practice is designed for high efficiency in regards to patient appointments, a commitment to continued improvement, reduced waste and ultimately an improved patient experience. The practice will also have collaborative services, such as dietary and behavioral health.
The building model was created during an improvement team planning event involving patients, staff, physicians and architects to minimize barriers to care. The practice will follow Bronson’s model for a patient centered medical home (PCMH) that incorporates a team approach to care. Communication and collaboration are at the heart of a PCMH.
“Bronson Family Medicine – The Groves offers a great location with additional access for the community to primary care providers in an innovative and ever improving setting,” says Elizabeth Warner, MD. “This new practice is evidence of Bronson’s commitment to always approaching new ventures with the patient ultimately at top of mind.”
Bronson Family Medicine – The Groves will be located at 6938 Elm Valley Drive in Oshtemo, Mich.
