Bronson South Haven Presents Patient Care Assistant with 2018 Sunshine Award

Ron Craft, PCA, poses after receiving the Sunshine AwardFrom June 10 to 17, Bronson Healthcare celebrated National Nursing Assistant Week. Throughout the week, patient care assistants (PCAs) and nursing technicians were honored for the outstanding contributions they make every day to providing exceptional healthcare experiences for every patient, every time. At Bronson South Haven, Ron Craft, a PCA in the emergency department, was recognized with the Sunshine Award. The annual award recognizes nursing assistants who go above-and-beyond the call of duty to ensure our patients receive compassionate, high-quality care.

Ron’s nomination letter explains “It is not often that someone new joins a team and instantly receives as much praise as Ron has. And the praise is not just from his own team, but from other departments like lab and radiology. Ron supports the team and fosters good relationships – he is gentle and kind. I recently had the mother of a young patient tell me that Ron made her daughter’s ED visit go very well and that he was friendly and patient with the little girl.”
