Bronson to Open Second FastCare Location in Kalamazoo

Bronson will be expanding its immediate care services in the Kalamazoo area with the opening of a new Bronson FastCare location in June, 2016.

The first clinic is located inside the Meijer store at 5121 S. Westnedge Ave. in Portage. Bronson FastCare clinics offer convenient and cost effective health care services for minor conditions and symptoms.

“We know that access to immediate care is important to this community so we are pleased to bring another FastCare clinic to the Kalamazoo area,” says John Jones, Jr., Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Bronson Medical Practices. “Bronson FastCare is a resource that serves everyone regardless of whether or not they have insurance or their own primary care doctor. It is designed to help people who have minor health concerns get the care they need quickly, affordably and with maximum convenience.”

Bronson FastCare takes walk-in patients only, accepts most insurance and accepts the office visit co-pay determined by the insurance company. For those with a high deductible plan or no insurance, a visit is only $69, including basic lab services.

Medical services at Bronson FastCare are provided by licensed nurse practitioners and physician assistants with Southwestern Michigan Emergency Services, P.C., who partner with Bronson to provide all emergency services across the region.  If a patient arrives with symptoms that exceed the clinic’s scope of services, the patient will be referred to a doctor or to the emergency department.

Types of minor conditions and symptoms often treated at Bronson FastCare include sore throats, fevers, flu and colds, ear and sinus infections, pink eye, skin rashes and allergies. Basic lab services are also available for pregnancy tests, monospots, rapid strep and urinalysis.

Bronson FastCare’s hours are: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Holidays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed Christmas Day). Last patient is seen 15 minutes prior to close.
