Car Seat Check Saved Lives - Bronson Healthcare

Published on April 03, 2014

A mother rolled her car just after having her car seats checked and replaced by a certified car seat technician. The story can be read here.

What the story does not mention was that the technician who saved the lives of those children was trooper Jason Sylvester. Jason completed the Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification course in 2010 conducted by Safe Kids Kalamazoo County, led by Bronson Children’s Hospital. Jason replaced all three car seats in the women’s car because they were broken. After the crash, he went to the scene and installed three more car seats. This is great example of the importance of car seat safety and how others help.
