Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Program at Bronson Battle Creek Receives National Recertification
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Bronson Battle Creek is proud to announce the recertification of its cardiovascular rehabilitation program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This certification recognizes Bronson Battle Creek’s commitment to improving the quality of life of patients by enhancing standards of care. The cardiovascular rehabilitation program at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital has been AACVPR-certified since 2012.
Cardiovascular rehabilitation programs are designed to help patients who have had a heart event or coronary artery bypass graft surgery recover faster and live healthier lives through exercise, education, counseling and support.
“As a leader in heart care, we are committed to providing a wide range of services for people in our community who have cardiopulmonary conditions. From preventive care to treatment and recovery, Bronson programs like cardiovascular rehab aim to provide exceptional care and improve the quality of life for each patient and their family,” said Bronson cardiovascular services supervisor Samantha Vanwoerkom.
To earn accreditation, the Bronson Battle Creek cardiovascular rehabilitation team participated in an application process that required extensive documentation of the program’s practices. Utilizing a peer-review accreditation process, the AACVPR evaluates rehab programs for adherence to the highest standards and guidelines developed and published by a group of professional societies in the field. Certification is valid for three years.
AACVPR-certified programs are leaders in the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation field because they offer the most advanced practices available and have proven track records of high-quality patient care.
Bronson Healthcare has cardiovascular rehabilitation programs in Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and South Haven. All three programs are AACVPR-certified. To learn more about cardiovascular rehabilitation at Bronson, visit Bronson Cardiac Rehabilitation.
