Feldpausch Foundation golf outing helps Bronson Battle Creek cancer fund

August 29, 2013

For the past six years, the Feldpausch Foundation has hosted an annual golf outing.  The 2013 event, honoring those suffering from cancer, raised $15,696 for the Cancer Care Medication Fund at Bronson Battle Creek.  This fund assures that cancer patients who have little or no insurance will have access to needed medications for their treatments.

“Thanks to the players in this event and to the many generous contributors, cancer patients who might not have the insurance to cover their medications will now have access to them and the caring support of the BBC cancer center's staff,” said Corey LaGro, golf outing coordinator.  “My deepest appreciation goes out to all who made this golf outing such a success again."

Feldpausch Foundation was formed through the success of a three-generation grocery chain founded in Hastings, Michigan in 1933.  It invests its resources in local charitable causes.  Nearly $125,000 has been raised through these golf outings over the past six years for local cancer programs.
