Feldpausch Foundation Golf Outing Raises $47,016 to Support Patients and Families

BATTLE CREEK, Mich – The 12th annual Feldpausch Foundation Golf Outing, raised $47,016 to support the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Fund and the Nattaly Brown Child Life and Expressive Arts Endowment.Check presentation Feldpausch 2019

This year’s outing had a record 116 golfers teeing up to support Bronson patients and families. Part of the proceeds will help assist cancer patients at Bronson Battle Creek who need help paying for medications, transportation to/from appointments, durable medical equipment and other cancer care items. Another portion of the proceeds will support ill and injured children through child life, art and music therapy, the Journey Beads program and staff and patient education.

“We really want to make an impact for patients going through these significant medical challenges,” says Corey LaGro, Feldpausch Foundation Board member and golf outing coordinator. “It’s so fulfilling to see the community come out to show their support and to let patients and families know that they aren’t alone. The funds raised can help ease just some of the stresses that come along with a medical crisis.”

Along with golfers and individual donors, a number of sponsors also contributed to the fundraising success including: Inspirational Sponsors – Battle Creek Community Foundation, CTI Contractors and Sarah, Scott & Jay Hamric; Giraffe Sponsors – Bronson Battle Creek, FireKeepers Casino Hotel and Corey and Sarah La Gro; Golf Towel Sponsor – Davis Oil / C Stores; Dance Party Sponsors – Mike and Kim Brubaker, Calhoun County Fairgrounds, CSM Group, LifeCare Ambulance Service, Motor Shop Electrical Construction Company and Chris and Kim Sargent.

The Feldpausch Foundation pays for the costs associated with the outing, so all the money raised goes directly to help patients through the Bronson Health Foundation. The annual golf outing has raised nearly $327,000 over the last 12 years.
