Bronson Healthcare Named to Forbes 2025 List of America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals

Forbes 2025 Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals.

Bronson Healthcare has been recognized as one of America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals, a prestigious award presented by Forbes and Statista. This comes a month after recognition as a Best-in-State Employer for the fourth consecutive year.

Out of 250 healthcare organizations nationwide, Bronson is ranked #130 and is one of only five Michigan health systems to receive this honor, alongside University of Michigan Health (#81), Holland Hospital (#133), MyMichigan Health (#137) and Henry Ford Health System (#155).

To identify this years’ list of America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals, Forbes and Statista conducted an independent survey of more than 17,000 U.S. employees working for healthcare and social services providers with at least 1,000 employees. Participants rated their employers on factors such as wages, working conditions, career development, work-life balance and safety. Respondents were also asked to recommend other healthcare organizations they knew through personal or professional connections.

“We know that burnout is a real challenge in healthcare, which is why we continue to invest in programs and initiatives that help our people feel supported, healthy and excited about their work,” said Cheryl Johnson, Vice President & Chief People Officer at Bronson Healthcare. “Caring for others is meaningful and rewarding, and our goal is to ensure that our employees and providers continue to love what they do. This award reflects their dedication and the positive culture they create at Bronson every day.”

In addition to this new honor, Bronson was also recognized by Forbes for the fourth consecutive year as one of America’s Best-in-State Employers. Together, these recognitions highlight Bronson’s strong workplace culture and ongoing commitment to employee well-being. Bronson invests in programs and services to help employees thrive, including its own Employee Assistance Program (Bronson HelpNet EAP), a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) peer support team, a Provider Wellness Committee, wellness reimbursement programs, expanded childcare options and more.

Bill Manns, President and CEO at Bronson Healthcare added, “At Bronson, we know that taking care of our people is central to our mission of advancing the health of our communities. These recognitions affirm the positive culture our employees create each day and underscore our commitment to building an environment where healthcare professionals can grow and succeed.”

In addition to this recognition, Forbes also ranks Bronson as a Best-in-State Employer (2022-2025). Additional employer recognitions include: one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women (Newsweek, 2023); one of the Top 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For (National Association for Business Resources, 2023-2025) with honors as a National Elite Winner (2024) and West Michigan Elite Winner (2025).
