Grape Lake 5K Run/Walk Results
Bronson LakeView Hospital hosted the 24th Annual Grape Lake 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 7. The race celebrated a new record with 901 participants. Nearly 100 volunteers and 43 sponsors came together to make the Grape Lake 5K Run/Walk possible.
The top female runner was Ashlyn Mauer of Portage, MI with a time of 17:32. The top male runner was Donald Richmond of Portland, MI with a time 16:22. The top female walker was Nada Kramp of Stevensville, MI with a time of 32:44. The top male walker was Roger Albert of Naperville, IL with a time of 39:56.
Endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health, the goals of the Grape Lake 5K Run/Walk are to promote health and fitness and support health and wellness initiatives in the community. The event is also part of the Fruit Belt Series, a series of races that helps grow the fruit industries of Michigan and highlights the importance of fruit and exercise in daily diets.
