KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Bronson Healthcare today announced the appointment of Mark Montross as vice president and chief administrative officer (CAO) of Bronson Medical Group, effective immediately. Montross has served in the role on an interim basis and now assumes the position permanently following a six‑month redesign of the medical group’s senior administrative leadership structure.

In this newly established, permanent role, Montross will lead Bronson Medical Group’s administrative strategy and operations, supporting the evolving needs of Bronson’s large, multispecialty clinical enterprise and broader health system priorities.

“Mark has demonstrated exceptional leadership during a pivotal period of transition for Bronson Medical Group,” said Martinson Arnan, MD, MBA, MPA, senior vice president and chief physician executive for Bronson Healthcare. “He brings a proven ability to align strategy with execution, build strong partnerships with physicians and advanced practice providers, and maintain a disciplined focus on access, quality, experience and financial stewardship.”

Montross will work closely with practice leaders to support more than 700 physicians and advanced practice providers across Bronson’s network. His areas of responsibility include operational performance and practice standardization, access and capacity management, financial stewardship and administrative infrastructure, workforce planning and data‑driven performance management.

Reporting to Dr. Arnan, Montross serves in a dyad partnership with Paul Fu, MD, vice president and chief clinical officer of Bronson Medical Group, supporting Bronson’s clinically led, professionally managed care model.

Montross brings more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, including nearly a decade at Bronson. Most recently, he served as director of practice operations for the Surgery and Oncology Clinical Practice Councils, where he partnered closely with physicians, advanced practice providers and operational leaders to advance recruitment, provider compensation initiatives, physician engagement and operational improvements across multiple specialty practices.

Prior to joining Bronson, Montross was executive director of Oaklawn Medical Group, where he led strategic, financial and operational performance for a growing physician enterprise. Earlier in his career, he spent 25 years in executive financial services leadership, including senior commercial banking roles—experience that continues to inform his disciplined approach to healthcare operations and financial management.

“Mark’s appointment reflects both the strength of our internal talent and Bronson’s ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the medical group,” Dr. Arnan added. “His leadership is grounded in transparency, trust and shared dialogue—values that are essential as we continue advancing access and care for our communities.”
