Bhuvaneshwari Dakshinamoorthy, DO: Critical Care Specialist

“Hardly anyone plans to become critically ill and things can become difficult very quickly, forcing patients and their families to face a lot of tough decisions at once. Often, there are multiple competing processes at play and the information can be overwhelming. My goal is to help simplify these concepts to empower patients and their families to make informed decisions and support them clinically and emotionally during their hospital stay.”

John Hendrix, NP: Critical Care Specialist

“One of the best parts of this job is when we can educate the patients and their families on how we go about finding and solving their problems. The stress of illness or injuries can be very disorienting, and they can feel overwhelmed by the complexity of it all. Being a part of a team that can effectively treat a sick patient is immensely gratifying, but it is especially rewarding when we can summarize and break down how we meet their goals. Bridging those concepts and making those connections is what allows us to share a common purpose.”

James Shubert, DO: Critical Care Specialist

“As a physician who works primarily in the Intensive Care setting, many of my patients are the sickest they have ever been. Many patients admitted to the ICU are scared and in pain, and it's my job to help them and their families understand what is happening and start healing from their illness. I am lucky to work with the best nurses and staff in the hospital to provide rapid intervention and highly skilled care when patients need it the most.”
