Bronson Healthcare Appoints Russ Kavalhuna to Board of Directors

Russ Kavalhuna, in a dark suit and yellow tie, smiles for a headshot.Bronson Healthcare, a not-for-profit, locally-governed health system serving southwest and southcentral Michigan, is pleased to announce the appointment of Russ Kavalhuna to its Board of Directors.

As the tenth president of Western Michigan University and a distinguished career spanning higher education, aviation and law, Kavalhuna brings a strong track record of leadership, community engagement and results-driven strategy. He has previously served as president of Henry Ford College, executive director of flight operations at WMU’s College of Aviation, and as a federal prosecutor. He also serves on the Michigan Workforce Development Board and the Michigan Aeronautics Commission and has contributed to statewide policy efforts focused on higher education and workforce development.
