Sexual Assault Services Receives Large Donation from Area School
Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County (SASCC) recently received a 125-stuffed toy donation from the Bellevue Girls’ Basketball Team.
These toys will be given to patients at SASCC to help provide comfort and cheer during times of distress, primarily during medical and forensic examinations.
“Our staff is very grateful for the team’s generosity and interest in our work at SASCC,” says Joyce Siegel, program manager at Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County.
SASCC provides empathic, non-judgmental, comprehensive services, support and advocacy for survivors and others affected by sexual assault or abuse in Calhoun County. The staff is also committed to raising awareness of sexual assault through community education and engaging others to help in holding offenders accountable with a goal to achieve a community free of sexual violence. SASCC is a grant-funded department of Bronson Battle Creek Hospital and Bronson Healthcare.
