Temporary Changes to Hospital Visitation Guidelines during Flu Season

To reduce the spread of influenza and other illnesses, the Bronson Healthcare system is temporarily encouraging limited visitation in all hospital areas and emergency departments.

The following guidelines apply to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, Bronson LakeView Hospital in Paw Paw,Bronson South Haven Hospital, Bronson Commons in Mattawan and Bronson Urgent Care.

These guidelines are in effect until further notice:

  • Throughout the hospitals: Visitors must be 15 years or older.
  • Bronson BirthPlace in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek: Only the patient’s immediate family members may visit. They are encouraged to wear a mask.
  • Emergency Departments: Visitors must be 15 years or older. Only two visitors per patient are permitted.

This change in policy is similar to what other hospitals in the region and nation are doing to protect patients and visitors. Email fludoctor@bronsonhg.org with questions.
