Temporary Change to Hospital Visitation Guidelines during Flu Season

To reduce the spread of influenza and other illnesses, the Bronson Healthcare system is temporarily encouraging limited visitation in all hospital areas and emergency departments. The following guidelines apply to Bronson Methodist Hospital, Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, Urgent Care at Bronson Battle Creek, Bronson LakeView Hospital, Bronson Vicksburg Outpatient Center Emergency Department, and Bronson Commons.

These guidelines are in effect until further notice:

  • Throughout the hospital: Visitors must be healthy and 15 years or older.
  • Bronson BirthPlace in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek: Only the patient’s healthy immediate family members may visit. They are encouraged to wear a mask.
  • Emergency Departments: Visitors must be healthy and 15 years or older. Only two visitors per patient are permitted.
  • Bronson Commons: Visitors must be healthy and 15 years or older. Only two visitors per patient/resident are permitted at a time.

This change in policy is similar to what other hospitals in the region and nation are doing to protect patients and visitors. Email fludoctor@bronsonhg.org with questions.
