Third Kalamazoo Area Bronson FastCare to Open on Gull Road

A new Bronson FastCare clinic is opening November 12, 2018 at 5623 Gull Rd. in Kalamazoo. It will be the third in the Kalamazoo area and the first on the city’s east side. Bronson FastCare offers convenient and cost effective walk-in healthcare services for adults and children with minor conditions and symptoms.

“Based on the popularity of our walk-in clinics on South Westnedge and West Main, we know that the convenience Bronson FastCare provides is important to many individuals and families,” says John Jones, Jr., senior vice president Bronson Medical Group. “Bronson FastCare is a resource that serves everyone regardless of whether or not they have insurance or their own primary care doctor,” explains Jones. “It is designed to help people who have minor health concerns get the care they need quickly, affordably and with maximum convenience.”

Bronson FastCare takes walk-in patients only, accepts most insurance and the office visit co-pay determined by the insurance company. 

Medical services at Bronson FastCare are provided by licensed nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Types of minor conditions and symptoms treated at Bronson FastCare include sore throats, fevers, colds and flu, ear and sinus infections, pink eye, skin rashes and allergies. Basic lab services are also available for pregnancy tests, monospots, rapid strep and urinalysis.

If a patient arrives with symptoms that exceed the clinic’s scope of services, the patient will be referred to a doctor or to the emergency department.

“The primary difference between Bronson FastCare and other immediate care and urgent care centers in the area is the direct link FastCare has to Bronson’s comprehensive system of care and electronic health record,” says Jones. “This includes a direct connection to medical specialists, services in the hospital and outpatient services. Plus, the patient has online access to all of their visit information through Bronson MyChart.”
