Bronson Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) Awarded for Excellence

In June, Bronson Healthcare celebrated Sunshine Week. During this special week, we honor all of the team members who help our clinical staff provide exceptional care for patients and families. Some of the celebrated individuals include:

Three Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) from Bronson Methodist Hospital and one from Bronson South Haven Hospital received the Sunshine Award.

  • Rita Benzenberg is a PCA on the post anesthesia care unit (PACU) at Bronson Methodist Hospital. “Rita handles her work with a level of professionalism, patience and efficiency that is not only uncanny and impressive, but frankly humbling. Read her full nomination here.
  • Patti Oliver is a PCA on the medical intensive care unit (MICU) at Bronson Methodist Hospital. “Patti not only thinks about how the patients are feeling, but she cares about their family members, as well as the rest of the staff. Patti always checks on the families of our patients to see if there is anything we could be doing for them to make them more comfortable in their time of need.” Read her full nomination here.
  • Jamie Warkentien is a PCA on the adult medical unit (AMU) at Bronson Methodist Hospital. “Jamie is constantly thinking of others. She’s always one of the first to step up and help out a fellow co-worker. She is a good listener, has a huge heart and is so genuinely kind.   • Jacqui Zurwalski is a PCA in the emergency department at Bronson South Haven Hospital. "You can tell Jacqui loves her job. She is caring and nice, and provided my parent with the best care when they were in the emergency department." Read her full nomination here.
