Recognizing Exceptional Team Members

During the 2021 Nurses' Week celebrations, Bronson honored nurses and support staff from across the healthcare system who exemplify Bronson Positivity. These honorees have demonstrated the act of going above and beyond in their daily work to ensure an exceptional healthcare experience for patients and families.

Hazel Latondress Excellence in Nursing Award

During small, socially distanced ceremonies, five Bronson Battle Creek (BBC) nurses and six Bronson Methodist Hospital (BMH) nurses were recognized with Hazel Latondress Excellence in Nursing Awards. Nominated for the award by their peers, former patients and families, winning nurses are recognized for exceptional Compassion, Respect, Expertise, Pride and Leadership.

Sunshine Award

Bronson Battle Creek and Bronson Methodist Hospitals also celebrated five nursing assistants with the Sunshine Award. This award is presented annually to team members – including techs, unit clerks, patient safety assistants and patient care assistants – who help clinical staff provide exceptional care for patients and families.
