Advanced Illness Management
We understand how overwhelming it may feel for you or a loved one to live with a serious illness, whether a new diagnosis or an existing condition. Advanced Illness Management, also referred to as palliative (pall-ee-uh-tiv) care, provides specialized medical care to address the pain and symptoms of serious illness with a goal of improving quality of life. We help patients of all ages, from children to older adults, as well as their families and other caregivers.

As a patient, you will receive a customized care plan based on your physical and emotional needs. Our top priority is to clarify and support your goals as you see them. We help with many serious illnesses, including:
Support for Your Symptoms
We help manage your pain and other symptoms so that you are as comfortable as possible during every stage of your serious illness. Depending on your individual needs, your symptoms may be managed with physical, emotional, and/or spiritual support. We help with many symptoms, including:
- Constipation
- Depression
- Difficulty sleeping
- Fatigue
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea
- Pain
- Shortness of breath
- Anxiety
- Spiritual distress
- Family distress
Your Compassionate Care Team
The inpatient team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers and chaplains. Whether you need physical, emotional or spiritual support, your needs are our number one priority.
