The New LEAF Program: Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, Food at Bronson Methodist Hospital

When it comes weight management, are you ready to turn over a new leaf? The New LEAF Program – created and led by healthcare professionals – can help you learn and practice lifestyle changes to improve your health.

Weight Conditions We Treat

  • Obesity (being overweight)
  • Morbid Obesity (being severely overweight)
Treating obesity can help with the health problems associated with being overweight, such as metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes and osteoarthritis.

The New LEAF Program

The New LEAF Program is for adults who suffer from any of these weight-related problems: excess weight, high blood pressure, insulin resistance, high cholesterol, sleep apnea or arthritis.

We can help you learn and practice lifestyle changes that can improve your health. Our multidisciplinary healthcare team will help you design your own personalized weight and health management program that includes:

  • A personalized meal plan designed by a dietitian
  • Eight group education sessions led by our professionals
  • Four private, one-hour personal training sessions with an exercise physiologist at the Bronson Athletic Club.
  • Menus, recipes and shopping lists you can customize

The program begins with a nutrition consultation with a registered dietitian and a fitness assessment with an exercise physiologist. A physician referral is required. Portions of this program may be covered by your health insurance. Contact your health insurance provider for more information on your coverage. Download our Medical & Surgical Weight Management Referral Form to give to your your physician.
