How can we help you?

Don’t let pain in your knees stop you from having an active lifestyle! If you have problems with your knees, our experts can help. Your knees support much of your body’s weight and provides a full range of motion. Just like you, many people will have problems with their knees during their lifetime.

Injury, wear and tear, aging and genetics are all factors that can cause knee pain. Other problems may be a result of an injury.

Our orthopedic surgery team provides outstanding care and has advanced training in knee joint replacement surgery and orthopedic trauma. We work closely with a dedicated orthopedic care team that includes nurses, orthopedic nurse navigators and physical therapists to create a comprehensive treatment plan for before and after surgery. Our goal is to get you to be pain free and able to return to doing the things you love.

Expertise in knee pain treatment options

In order to provide you with the best treatment, our team will need your complete medical history* and will perform a physical examination. Based on our findings, your treatment plan may include nonsurgical or surgical options, such as:

Nonsurgical treatments

  • Coolief - nonsurgical procedure using cooled radio frequency for treating chronic knee pain
  • Hot and cold therapy – Heat will help muscles relax and cold will help minimize inflammation
  • Injections – Treat painful conditions, such as tendinitis
  • Medication – Prescription or over-the-counter drugs to relieve pain.
  • Physical therapy/rehabilitation – Non-surgical techniques, such as massage, heat treatment and exercises to reduce pain, restore function and prevent injury
  • R.I.C.E. – Rest, ice, compression and evaluation
  • Taping techniques – Apply tape to help stabilize muscles and joints without restricting range of motion
  • Therapeutic aids – Braces, inserts, wraps, splints and other accessories designed to provide supports to injured bones, muscles and joints
  • Therapeutic exercise – Physical activities that focus on restoring and maintaining strength, stability, flexibility and balance
  • Weight loss – Helps relieve stress on joints

Surgical treatments

  • ACL reconstruction – Used to reconstruct the damaged anterior cruciate ligament in the center of the knee
  • Arthroscopy – A minimally invasive procedure used to view, diagnose and treat problems inside a joint
  • Knee surgery – Performed to repair fractures, damaged or diseased joints, muscles or bones
  • Joint replacement surgery – Also known as arthroplasty, it is the reconstruction or replacement of a diseased or damaged knee joint with an artificial implant. Our surgeons perform partial and total knee joint replacement surgery using both traditional and robotic-assisted surgical techniques.
  • Meniscal transplant surgery – Replaces a damaged meniscus with a donor cartilage
  • Revision surgery – A procedure to remove any damaged parts of a knee joint implant
  • Tendon repair – Repairs torn or damaged tissue that connects muscles to the bone
  • Transplant surgery – Removal of a damaged organ, tissue or blood product and inserting a replacement from a donor
