Whether you’re involved with a high school, college or professional sports team, we understand how difficult it can be when one of your athletes gets hurt during a practice or a game. That’s why our team of sports medicine specialists partner with 14 area high schools, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College, as well as the Kalamazoo Wings and the Kalamazoo Growlers. Our goal is to help prevent and treat their sport-related injuries. You can trust our sports medicine experts to provide comprehensive medical care to your athletes both on and off the field.
Preventing athletes’ injuries
Before a sport season begins, your players will be assessed through a physical exam to find out if there are any medical or orthopedic problems that may make them more likely to get hurt or sick. Once the season starts, your team physician will be available to follow up on each player’s health and progress, addressing any questions or concerns to help prevent injuries.
Supporting your team on the sidelines
From a sprain to a broken bone, it’s important that players receive medical attention soon after they get hurt. Many times, these injuries occur on contact or in action during a game. By having a team physician with you on the sidelines, your team will have immediate, onsite care provided by an orthopedic physician who is familiar with their medical history.
