Team Directory
Michael Berneking, MD
Dr. Berneking cares for patients and works with employers on workplace health, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, regulatory needs and substance misuse testing. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Berneking served as a lieutenant colonel in the Michigan Army National Guard. He has a special interest in aviation and aerospace medicine, as well as sleep medicine and how it affects transportation safety. He has helped guide national work in this area. He also speaks at conferences and serves as a senior aviation medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and a U.S. Army flight surgeon.

Dorita Cline, NP-C
Dorita chose to work in health care because she can make a positive impact for each patient. She is influenced by her father, who built his own business through hard work, listening and respect.
Each day, Dorita looks forward to coming to work and helping others. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, kayaking, bicycling and spending time with her family.

Kevin Ferguson, NP-C
Kevin began his career in health care as an athletic trainer. He later worked as a paramedic and registered nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner. He enjoys occupational health because it lets him draw on past experience.
Kevin values the chance to support an employee’s health, which can benefit both the employee and the employer. Outside of work, he volunteers at his son’s school, coaches his sports teams and helps with pre-participation sports physicals for local students. He also enjoys spending time with his family and running 5K races.

Courtney LaPorte, PA-C
Courtney enjoys occupational medicine because it supports people who work hard to provide for themselves and their families. She especially enjoys helping patients recover from injuries and return to work feeling better and more comfortable.
In her free time, she likes traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family.

Tina Latta, DNP, FNP-C
Tina is a family nurse practitioner who provides patient-centered care across a wide range of settings. Her experience includes emergency medicine, inpatient care, urgent care and health care leadership roles.
She most enjoys working directly with patients. Tina has a special interest in teaching patients how to prevent injuries and stay strong and active at work and at home.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, singing on her church praise team, reading and making handmade cards.

Meggan Volz, PA-C
Meggan enjoys getting to know patients and helping them feel their best, whether they are coming in for an injury, follow-up visit or work-related concern. She finds it rewarding to celebrate small wins like better lab results, less pain or getting back to activities patients enjoy after an injury.
Outside of work, she likes spending time with her family, being outdoors, cooking and staying active.
