Children's Advocacy Center

The CAC model centers around a multidisciplinary team approach in response to sexual abuse. Professionals trained in the investigation and intervention of abuse come together to surround a child and their family with services.

Law enforcement or Child Protective Services contacts the Children’s Advocacy Center to schedule a forensic interview when sexual abuse of a child or teen is reported.

In some cases, law enforcement may request a forensic interview when a child has experienced severe physical abuse or has witnessed a violent crime.

The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) was recently reaccredited by the National Children’s Alliance and has maintained accreditation since 2005.
