Services and treatments to help you sleep
Sleep is so important for your overall health. Bronson’s experts can help you get the rest you need.
- In-lab sleep study – Meet with your doctor to set up an in-lab, overnight sleep study, also called a polysomnogram (PSG). It records brain activity, eye and body movements as well as other vitals to help uncover hidden health issues related to sleep.
- At-home sleep apnea testing - After meeting with your doctor, you may decide the best option is to use a simple, at-home sleep apnea test. It measures your heart rate, blood oxygen level, air flow and/or breathing patterns. At-home testing devices can be picked up at three convenient locations throughout southwest Michigan:
Regardless of if you opt for an in-lab or at-home sleep study, you and your doctor will talk about your results and next steps for care. If you need to see a sleep specialist, we have locations in Battle Creek and Portage. For some treatments, like sleep apnea, you may also have the option to schedule a video visit with Bronson MyChart so you never have to go far for expert care.
Not all services are available at all locations (call for details). You’ll benefit from a number of care options for various conditions:
- Support groups – Talking with others who are also using a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) can help you discuss your experiences, share ideas, and provide emotional support for one another
- Positive airway pressure naps (PAP-NAP) - CPAPs can take some time to get used to. If you need help using your CPAP, you may be able to do a trial in the sleep lab at Bronson
- Overnight pulse oximetry – A test that measures the amount of oxygen in the blood as well as the pulse during sleep; helps detect sleep apnea
