Pharmacy Residency - Current Resident Profiles

Grant Beach (beacgr@bronsonhg.org) grew up in Rockford, Michigan where he completed his undergraduate education at Grand Valley State University and met his incredible wife Jenny. He graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. Prior to residency he worked throughout pharmacy school as a pharmacy intern at Meijer pharmacy in Jenison, Michigan. His career interests are rooted in ambulatory care pharmacy and pharmacy administration. In his spare time he enjoys board games, water polo, and watching the Michigan State Spartans or Detroit Lions.

Ali Ahmad (ahmada@bronsonhg.org) grew up in Iraq and Lebanon. He moved to Washington State at the age of 16 where he received his bachelor's degree in molecular biology from the University of Washington and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Prior to residency, he worked as an intern at Rite Aid pharmacy, research assistant at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and a school teacher at Kent school district. His main interests are infectious disease, emergency medicine, critical care, and academia. However, he enjoys working in all other inpatient pharmacy areas as well. In his spare time, he enjoys road trips, traveling, swimming at beaches, going to theme/water parks, playing soccer, hiking, reading self-improvement books, kayaking, and going to movie theaters.
