Pharmacy Residency - Qualifications & Application Information

Qualifications

Candidates must be a graduate of or graduating from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy, or otherwise be eligible for licensure. Applicants who have or will graduate from a foreign school of pharmacy must be qualified to register for the Match, as outlined in the Match Rules. Matched applicants are expected to obtain licensure as a pharmacist in Michigan within the first 60 days of the residency. All application materials must be submitted via PhORCAS. The application deadline is January 2nd to be considered for an interview.

Required Application Materials

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Letter of intent
  • College of pharmacy school transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation
    • Recommenders should be directed to include their narrative comments within the provided form in PhORCAS. They may attach a brief paragraph that illustrates how the resident would be a good match for our program but should NOT submit free form letters of recommendation. 

All application materials must be submitted via PhORCAS. The application deadline is January 2nd to be considered for an interview. Interviews are required for consideration for acceptance to the program. The residency program director will contact candidates to schedule interviews. To protect the integrity of the Match, Bronson staff will not communicate ranking-related information to residency applicants nor will they solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any residency applicant prior to the release of the results for Phase II of the Match.
