Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Getting a quick, efficient and safe workout can be easier than you think! Our team of fitness experts are ready to lead you through a perfectly planned workout in under an hour. Whether you’re looking for a low-impact class to improve flexibility and range of motion or a high-energy class to get your heart pumping, we’ve got classes to fit your unique needs. These classes are free to members. Pre-registration is not required. Class options are listed below.

Cardio classes
Also known as aerobic exercise, cardio workouts are good for your heart. They are designed to get your heart pumping at a higher than normal rate. They are perfect for losing or maintaining a healthy weight. You’ll definitely leave class feeling tired, but accomplished and ready to take on the day!

  • Drums Alive!
    Fitness, music and rhythm all wrapped up in one engaging class! Here, you’ll use rhythm as the source of inspiration and discover a new fitness experience.
  • Kick Express
    Kick, jab, hit and block! This fast-paced, high-energy cardiovascular class features easy to follow marital arts skills.
  • Zumba
    This high-energy, dance-inspired class features unique Latin-style moves. Based on the principle that workouts should be fun and easy to do, Zumba is not only great for the body but also benefits the mind.

Strength training classes
Strength training classes can incorporate body weight exercises, as well as use equipment like free weights, exercise bands and tubes, kettlebells and more. Strength training is an important part of your fitness routine because it helps build muscle and protect your bones. Think you can’t lose weight from strength training? Think again! The more muscle you have, the more fat you’ll burn at rest. Get to work!

  • Ab Lab
    This 25 minute class will target your core muscles with stabilization and strength training exercises. Ab Lab makes a great addition to any workout or can stand alone for a quick and effective workout to trim and tone your midsection.
  • Barre Pilates
    Incorporating the basic principles of Pilates, this class consists of a warm up, upper body weight training moves, lower body Barre exercises and ab work.
  • Stretch & Tone
    Focus on improving strength and flexibility while toning your entire body. This class promotes improved physical function, mobility, athleticism and posture.
  • Splash
    A total body workout that consists of moderate intensity cardio movements paired with strength/balance/core segments. Your instructor will mix it up, keeping you coming back for more!

Total body workouts
Total body workouts combine heart-pumping cardio exercises with strength training movements. Workouts will target your entire body – having you feeling stronger physically and mentally.

  • 20/20/20
    Incorporate light cardiovascular exercise for the heart, muscular strength and conditioning for healthy bones, and balance and flexibility training to round out a total-body workout.

Mind-body classes
Besides leaving you with a good sweat, mind-body workouts have been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce stress and improve mental clarity. Give it a try with any of our yoga or Pilates classes.

  • Active Stretching
    Help your muscles regain flexibility so you can feel great! During this 30 minute class, you'll move through a variety of stretches, as well as self-massage and body awareness exercises. 
  • Ashtanga Yoga
    A more intense form of yoga, Ashtanga Yoga is designed to heat the body and remove impurities from within, while increasing strength and flexibility. During the workout, you’ll move through a set of postures while focusing on breath control.
  • Hatha Yoga
    This class emphasizes breathing, concentration, flexibility and toning. Learn and practice a series of postures from relaxing and restorative to strong poses that all build strength and improve balance. This class is suitable for all levels.
  • Pilates
    Designed to improve flexibility, posture, balance and coordination, Pilates focuses on strengthening the body’s core through a series of low-impact exercises.
  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga
    A synchronized series of flowing movements with your breath. Emphasis is placed on breathing and transitioning in and out of the postures. This class is suitable for all levels.
  • Yin-Yoga
    Focused on improving flexibility for injury prevention, this yoga class is perfect for athletes as well as yoga enthusiasts of all levels.
  • Yoga Basics
    Ideal for those new to yoga or seeking a gentle practice, this class will use a variety of props, including chairs, stability balls, the wall, straps and blocks to support the body while you engage your muscles and relax your mind.
  • Yoga Sculpt
    Strengthen and tone your muscles while relaxing and centering your mind. Combine traditional yoga with strength-training moves like squats, lunges and bicep curls. Class will end with a full body stretch and relaxation session.

Water exercise
Water exercise is the perfect option for anyone looking for a low- to no-impact workout. The natural resistance of water is great for increasing strength while keeping you cool and comfortable. Not to mention, it’s a fun way to mix up your workout routine!  

  • Aqua Fit
    A water aerobics class designed to improve cardio health, promote strength and flexibility and aide in weight loss, all while being no-impact and easy on the joints. 
  • Aqua Joints
    Feel the warmth of the therapy pool! This easy to follow class can help relieve stiffness and maintain or improve mobility, strength and balance.
  • Aqua Joints Plus
    A range of motion class that combines strength training with light endurance training, all while in the water. This is a non-intimidating class you can do at your own pace!
